oops, didn't notice your question about the messiah part.
Well, from what I found it relates to the christian belief that true body of Christ was always meant to be Jews and Gentiles.

thanks Shai. Yours was the closest I think to the meaning of this term as I understand it. In the end I chose the literal translation *murkavim* or *hurkavnu*, mainly because this is how it appears in the Hebrew translation of the new testament. Thank you
