English to Hindi translations [Non-PRO] Other / Vocab Item | | English term or phrase: female snake | Hi,
I know that Rudyard Kipling is very authentic in his choice of names - Bhalu for a certain bear, Nag for a certain snake etc. (see the story Rikki-Tikki-Tavi).
In the same story, Nag the snake's wife is called Nagaina, so I would be very interested in comparing this name with the actual Hindi word for a female snake.
Best wishes and many thanks,
Simon |
