This is called Localization. Given two are examples how to work with these tags. The content is to be published on net, and for this reson viewer is browsing through pages and collecting required information. Reading entire information in serial pages is not possible, hence the topics are given links. Clicking these links take the viewer to desired page, where he/she can read further information on the term which is clicked. For linking terms with the perticular sentenceses it needs to be taged (obviously not just in HTML but now a days in xml and XHTML) While localizing such a content one has to take care of the tags and still keep flow in translation.

Explanation:
Prakash, to translate this you need to speak to the client (or the original author) about the function of the tags. In this particular example Tags may have been used to have different colors or size of the first and last characters, or defining the hot key, or for some other formatting.

As a translator, you are supposed to make sure about the intended use before translating this type of text. Based on the use, the text will be translated differently. So, my suggestion is, do not translate this blindly for the sake of translating, better ask the client.

Dear Prakash, after telephonic talk with you and after getting your problem, I had come to know that first you must make it clear in your mind that in technical translation such sentences shoule be either posted as such or you must talk to the client who had given you this source language, so that exact meaing can come to the fore.
