English term or phrase: Patala
Greetings,

Please write in Devanagari and clarify the English meaning. It seems to mean something like “foot stand” but I'm really not sure.

Context: this Divali card.

Amongst the instructions you will see:
“Click on the Akshata to place it on the Patala.”

All the best,

SeiTT,
Your term is पटला. (As I have clarified before)
BUT, in the context of DIWALI it should be CHAUKI - चौकी (low square or rectangular seat) or वेदिका.

patala
पाटला

Explanation:
यह पूजा के लिए काम में लाया जाने वाला पाटला (a raised plank) है।

हिन्दी में इसे पटरा पटला, हेंगा या चौकी भी कहते हैं।

It is self evident from the ecard's instructions:
“Click on the Akshata to place it on the Patala.”
You can see that when you click on the Akshata (अक्षत), it is placed on the Patala (पाटला).

अष्टमंगल पाटला का आकार ७"x४" है।
