Accounts receivable assets, to the extent that they are current (and not past due), are often used as collateral for short-term loans, as they are likely to provide a business with cash in a month or two from the date listed on their balance sheet.
Szó szerint fordítva:

Én meg inkább azt gondolom, hogy nem a mérleg fordulónapjáról van szó, hanem (még ha ez a fogalom fiktív is) a mérlegbeli dátumról, a könyvelés dátumáról, és szerintem a mondat azt jelenti, hogy a le nem járt rövidtávú követelések a könyvelésbeli megjelenéstől számított 1-2 hónapon belül pénz hoznak. Olyan, mintha folyómérlegről lenne szó. |

nyilván van olyan, h fizetési határidő. Ami manapság 30-60 de még 90 nap is lehet. A még le nem jár követelést ezek szerint a következő 1-2 hónapban egyenlítik ki.
