Rögtön először én is erre gondoltam (hood bulge), de a google rengeteg "hood budge"-ot talált. Igaz, szinte szóról szóra egyforma mindegyik, gondolom a Nissan eredeti szövegét vették át a különböző oldalak. Rákérdezek, hátha elírás.
Elképzelhető, hogy "hood bulge" akart lenni, ami pedig nem más, mint a beömlőnyílás a motorháztető felső részén (dudor alakú valami, más néven power bulge). Sajnos fogalmam sincsen, hogy annak mi a magyar neve. Ha egyáltalán erről van szó.

Asker: A szövegben többször szerepelt a "pop-up hood", nyilván ez felel meg az általad javasolt kifejezésnek. Ez a "budge" csak egyszer fordult elő a 12000 szavas szövegben. Elképzelhető, hogy itt is erről van szó, de mivel máshol többször és következetesen "pop-up hood" szerepel, ezért gyanítom, hogy ez valami más lehet.
Explanation: Nem lehet hogy csak elírták? a hood budge összesen 31 találatot ad a google-n, ebből a fele a te kérdésed, a másik fele a hivatkozott mondatba van beágyazva.
