Flex Space
The purpose of flex space is to store back stock of core products in their seasonal peak, seasonally offered products, and retail merchandise until it is needed.
To estimate the amount of space necessary to allocate for the flex area:
- Estimate space requirements for seasonal products and retail merchandise.
- Estimate space requirements for any other items that may require flex space.
- Combine the estimates to determine the total amount of flex space needed.

Flex Space
A building providing its occupants the flexibility of utilizing the space. Usually provides a configuration allowing a flexible amount of office or showroom space in combination with manufacturing, laboratory, warehouse distribution, etc. Typically also provides the flexibility to relocate overhead doors. Generally constructed with little or no common areas, load-bearing floors, loading dock facilities and high ceilings.

Originally,industrial space that could be configured as needed for offices,manufacturing,assemblage,or warehousing.Today,the term usually refers to flexible office arrangements such as movable walls, offices shared by different people during different time slots, or any number of other flexible arrangements.

So what is the official definition of flex space? CoStar, a national database and information exchange for the commercial real estate industry, says it is “a building designed to be versatile and may be used in combination with office, research and development, quasi-retail sales, industrial processing or high tech.” Flex buildings are usually one or two stories high with at least half the space designed for office layout, ceiling heights that can go up to 16 feet, and has some sort of overhead door delivery options (either grade level or dock high delivery doors).

Szó sincs bővítésről, arról van szó, a már meglévő raktárépület terei rugalmasan kihasználhatók.

Szó sincs arról, hogy hozzáépítenének, ez nem kibővítés, egyszerűen arról van szó, hogy a meglévő tér rugalmasan kihasználható. A kibővíthető tér amúgy is expandable/extendable space lenne.
