Ennek fordításaként természetesen jó az általánosító "műanyag"; magyarul sokkal inkább műanyag zacskóról szoktunk beszélni, mint polietén zacskóról. De ha esetleg a szövegben többféle műanyag fordul elő, akkor ez a megoldás.
