Bocsánat a szeptum nem is latin szó, csak latinból vettük át, ha latin lenne, septumot írnánk. :) A szeptumot már nagyon régen átvettük.

Ha a gázkromatográf paramétereiről ír, akkor nem lehet a septum purge kivezető/kilövellő nyílás, mert annak nincs értelme. A kivezető nyílás amúgy outlet lenne, és ha az injektor részeiről lenne szó, akkor még számításba lehetne venni.
De a fent megadott szövegkörnyezet alapján - "gőztér gázkromatográf paramétereinek felsorolásában szerepel" - a septum purge kifejezés után egy értéknek kell lennie (ami valószínű ml/perc), tehát egyértelműen a gáz áramlási sebességét adja meg. Azaz septum/szeptum purge gázáram: ... ml/perc |

"By keeping the septum at a lower temperature and using a septum purge, the bleed from the septum can be minimized. (...)
In all cases we do recommend a septum purge. The purpose of the septum purge is to minimize the delivery of septa volatiles and condensation materials into the GC column. When used with the injection port liners described above, the septum purge eliminates most of the silicones originating from the septum. With the HP split/splitless injector with EPC (Electron Pressure Control) this septum purge is factory set to 3.0 ml/min. With other HP models without EPC, the septum purge can be set between 0.5 and 5.0 ml/min."
Sajnos, nem tudom, hogy nevezik magyarul, de az biztos, hogy nem gáz. A 'purge' értelmezése alapján talán kivezető (nyílás) vagy kilövellő (nyílás).
