Two arrangements in generator drive are currently common in the market, namely the hot-end drive and cold-end drive. In the hot-end drive arrangement, the generator is located at the exhaust end of the gas turbine, whereas in the cold-end drive, the generator is connected at the compressor inlet of the gas turbine.
