What is a stillage?
A stillage is very similar to a pallet, however many pallets are flat, and do not necessarily have any holding mechanism up the sides. Pallets often hold only boxes, but stillages can hold many items that a basic pallet cannot.
For example, if you wanted to mobilise many steel bars, that were not bound together, then this cannot be achieved using a pallet. A stillage that has sides would be able to do this. Alternatively a stillage with a holding mechanism for each of the steel bars could be designed and built to specification.
Stillages are also very diverse in their design, whereas pallets are available only in a small vareity of dimensions.
