Student wins national art award for Daffy Duck-inspired table (3/29/2004)
Dana Fear thinks her table is just ducky.
So did NICHE, a trade publication featuring American crafts. The magazine honored the Ball State University senior with a 2004 Student Niche Award for her work, "Duck Table."
The table resembles a nightstand. Instead of having traditional legs, however, Fear carved duck legs made from hard maple. Rather than mimicking a motionless duck, Fear's table legs appear to be in mid-stride.

Ezen a lapon rengeteg asztal látható, pl.:
Three dolphins table - az asztallapot 3 delfint formázó láb tartja;
3 cupids table - 3 "cupido" tartja;
swan table - hattyú tartja;
sphinx table - szfinksz tartja;
butterfly girl table - pillangó lány(?) tartja;
naked lady table - az asztallap egy hiányos öltözékű hölgyre van szerelve;
bronze flying duck table - "repülő" (bronz) kacsa tartja
stb.
A képeken látható kb. 50 asztal közül mindegyiket a láb (tartórész) alapján nevezték el.
