Nos, annyit még hozzáfűznék, hogy a címsorba írt kifejezést picit hátrébb sorolva, mégiscsak jobban preferálnám az etnikum szót.

A nemzetiséget főleg a határokon túl élő magyarok, ill. a Magyarországon élő kisebbségek vonatkozásában használjuk, egyéb esetekben szerencsésebb az etnikum használata.

Explanation:
Multi ethnic (etnikai) is related to but not the same as multi-national (nemzet) or multiple minorities (kisebbség). In some contexts they are used synonymously, however.

It is easy to find lots of examples in EU and goverment documents of etnilkai being used. Just some further examples:

As I noted in my response to Erzsébet a translation that continues to confuse culture, ethnicity, minorities and nationality is perhaps not also appropriate as these are clearly not the same thing. Nemzeti, nemzet, nemzetiségű and nemzetiségileg are not talking about the same thing as multi-ethnic. They are used synonymously, but that is by lay people, just as native speakers confuse the two.

It is also worth pointing out that a lot of political debates in the UK, particularly about London, note that while the capital and country is comfortable to be multi-national, it cannot and should attempt to be multi-ethic.

Erzsébet Czopyk: Dear colleague, this is definitely not in Hungarian, expression "több-etnikai" is simply does not exist. Multi ethnic means "több etnikumból álló" in correct Hungarian language. 2. Posters in chatforums (your 1st link) usually have very bad grammar.

-> Erzsébet thanks. Still a translation that continues to confuse culture, ethnicity, minorities and nationality is perhaps not also appropriate as these are clearly not the same thing - 'etnikai' which is frequently used in EU and government (HU) settings

Vandor: Dear Finbar, in a sense you are right,but such a word what you have written doesn't exist ,so far. The English point of view regarding nationality differs profoundly from the Central Eastern European one,including German.

-> Vandor thanks. These are used in common speech synonymously, but are quite distinct. In more formal political environments, even in Hungary and particularly in official documents, több etnikai is used. That it is not a 'Hungarian' phrase is a obvious.
