Az 1. mondatnál egyértelmű, hogy a demonstrate egy művelet elvégzésének bemutatását / ismertetését jelenti. A 2. mondatnál viszont a demonstrate jelentése nem ismertet, hanem bizonyít vagy igazol. Néhány példa korábbi fordításokból:
