András, a "lapkaközi kommunikáció" verziót véletlenül se használd.
Itt a forgácsról van szó, nem a vezérlés szilíciumlapkájáról.
Sajnos nem tudok megoldást a kérdésedre (most nyakig ülök a melóban), de fordíthatónak tartom a kifejezést. Ha nincs is rá még magyar megfelelő, szakemberrel egyeztetve lehet találni. Furcsa, hogy önmagában áll a gépkönyvben. Mennyiség, mértékegység sincs mellette?
Nehéz lehet az anyag, talán érdemes egy szakembert felkérni konzultációra.

Important to know how to differentiate between "tool change time" and "chip to chip" time. These terms are often confused, and can be very misleading. The key thing to remember here, is that unlike a lathe turret, the spindle of a mill must "orient" and travel to the extreme of the "Z" or "Y" axis to reach the ATC, and exchange tools. In some cases other axis will require movement as well to avoid tool interference. The time required for the spindle nose to move the distance from the extreme end of the travel to the tool change position, plus the tool change time, plus the time required to move back to the extreme end of the travel, is the "chip to chip" time.

A magyar nyelv védelme érdekében:
András, elfogadtál egy olyan választ, amely egy angol szakkifejezést angolul hagyna azzal az indokkal, hogy a weben egy magyar nyelvű termékismertetőben is angolul hagyták a kifejezést. Én úgy gondolom, nem kellene ugyanabba a hibába esned. Hiszem, hogy a magyar nyelv van annyira épkézláb, hogy ennél jobb megoldás is van. Nem könnyű első ránézésre, de ha eljutsz odáig, hogy érted, miről van szó, akkor a nyelvi leleményed és a vonatkozó szakismeretek hasznosításával javaslatot tehetsz egy meghonosítandó fordításra. Ilyenkor - átmeneti időszakban - elfogadható az angol kifejezés megtartása zárójelben.
Azok alapján, amit segítségként írtam, 80%-ban helyes lehet például a \"leválasztási/forgácsképződési szünet\" megoldás.
Más: \"lapkán\" forgácsolás/CNC témakörben legtöbsször a cserélhető \"késélt\" értik (angolul \"tip\").
