Ez egy lakókocsis fogalomgyűjteményből származik:

A 4x4 a hajtásképlet (itt mind a négy kerék meg van hajtva), és "alvázra szerelt vezetőfülkés tehergépkocsi". Bár a fülkés alváz elnevezés elterjedtebb.
