Egy másik értelmezés: itt a damping nem a pressure-hez tartozik, hanem a damping gerund, a pressure pedig a tárgya. A damp mint ige jelentése többek között:

damp
lessen in force or effect; "soften a shock"; "break a fall"


(magyarul például "visszavesz" jelentése is van).
A "by damping pressure" ezen értelmezés szerint azt jelenti, hogy "a nyomás csökkentésével/levételével". A készülék működését egyébként nem ismerem, nem tudom, hogyan valósul meg így a melegítés.
