Sehol nem találom ezt a szót. Lehet hogy typo? Ebben a mondatban: The tubing and buckle area should not be included in the gastro-gastric imbrectation. Arról van szó, hogy a gyomorgyűrűt gyomor-gyomor öltéssel rögzítik, a gyomrot alulról ráhúzzák a gyűrűre, hogy azt csaknem elfedje. Ez az imbectation.

Szerintem is elírás és az imbrication.
De nem pikkelyszerű hegképződés, hisz a heg csak a műtét után később jelentkezhet.
Valószínűleg itt simán az átfedett területre (overlapping) vonatkozik. Az imbrication-nek van egy overlapping jelentése is:
