Tehát vagy két, egymástól kissé eltérő képet osztanak el egymással, vagy egy képet egy állandóval (természetesen a digitális doménben). Az első esetben a hányados 1 ott, ahol nincs változás, tehát az eredményül kapott képen csak azok a részletek maradnak meg, ahol változás volt.
