Hello Zsuzsanna, if only I were that competent! My knowledge is in English only as I translate from Spanish and French into English. I was merely sending in findings for the meanings of the abbreviations, plus the Hungarian for CKD. I think there are nowsufficient Hungarians here to help you:) Best of luck with your translation.

Well, Liz. If you know these medical terms in Hungarian, please share them with us to support the community. Life rule: if you do not know something but you are willing to ask and learn, you can be winner in the long run. I asked these medical terms because I want to learn and check them to be 100% sure. Of course, I know terms such as cardiovascular disease. My intention was just to get to know which form is used. You know, in Hungary doctors sometimes use the HU version and there are cases where the Latin version is used. Only these medical experts here can tell me the 100% proper version. In addition, I want to create a glossary for the future.

Hi Liz, I am not a medical translator. I got a technical/marketing translation of 20,000 words and only ca. 20 words are medical.
Please do not judge without knowing the background.

Also, from my own experience, you will be amazed how many medical translators don't know the meaning of medical abbreviations, or their equivalent in the target language, hence all the postings and queries!

Szerintem azt, hogy a TNT trialra vonatkozik, addig szerintem mindenki eljutott. Az nem lehet kérdés. De nincs értelme, valószínű azért, mert ez a pár szó ki lett véve egy tágabb szövegkörnyezetből.

Ennek így kivágva nem sok értelme van:

"Egy betegség: TNT vizsgálat krónikus veseelégtelenség "

Ezt 1 perc alatt bárki beírhatta volna válaszként, de nem írtam (és ahogy látom más sem írta be), mert orvosilag-logikailag-nyelvtanilag nincs értelme. Abban lehet reménykedni, hogy az előtte vagy utána lévő mondatokkal teljes lenne a kép.

Szia! Tulajdonképpen nagyon pici rész orvosi szöveg ebből, én meg nem vagyok orvosi fordító, ezért tettem fel a kérdéseket. De ez egy táblázat, és éppen ehhez semmi magyarázat nincs. Elnézést.

Probably almost all translators, who are translating medical documents know what the abbreviation TNT and chronic kidney disease mean and they also know their Hungarian translations.
This is not even a question.
The question is: what does "A disease: TNT-Chronic kidney disease (CKD)" mean?

It doesn't make sense this way. That's why I asked further context (previous and further sentences in this context).

Ha megt dudod adni az előtte és utána lévő mondatokat, az sokat segíthet. Ugyanis addig szerintem mindenki eljutott, hogy mit jelent a TNT (nem robbanószer :- ) ), de nyelvileg annak semmi értelme nincs, hogy "disease: TNT - Chronic kidney disease (CKD)" - hacsak az előtte vagy utána lévő mondatok nem adják meg az okot.

Remélhetőleg a szövegkörnyezet megmagyarázza, miért írtak előtte "a disease-t" és kettőspontot.
