Definition from Wikipedia: Black liquor is a byproduct of the kraft process, (also known as kraft pulping or sulfate process) during the production of paper pulp. Wood is decomposed into cellulose fibers (from which paper is made), hemicellulose and lignin fragments. Black liquor is an aqueous solution of lignin residues, hemicellulose, and the inorganic chemicals used in the process.

Definition from own experience or research: Az elhasznált feltáróoldat (gyári nevén feketelúg) sötét színű oldat, ami a növényi nyersanyagból kioldott szervetlen sókat és szerves vegyületeket (alkálilignin, hemicellulóz, zsírsavas és gyantasavas sók, oxidációs termékek, stb..) tartalmaz.
