Could it be too literal translation from French to English ?
'Saya gembira dapat menerimamu di tempat yang luar biasa ini'
may be in Indonesian style you could say
'I am glad to found/meet you in this magnificent place'
'Saya gembira dapat menemukanmu di tempat yang luar biasa ini'
or
'Saya gembira dapat bertemu kamu di tempat yang luar biasa ini"
kamu or Anda depend on the relation between them, lover pair prereferably kamu, bussiness partner preferably Anda.

If you said welcome and formal situation, it's clear about the context for me.
In Indonesia menerima has a meaning that more tend to accept than receive,
Example: "Aku menerimamu apa adanya mas, meskipun wajahmu mirip hanoman itu tak masalah bagiku, aku tresna karo koe"
so if you want it heard not to strange in Indonesian earing you could add 'arrival' to the sentence:
'I am glad to receive your arrival in this magnificent place'
'Saya gembira dapat menerima kedatanganmu di tempat yang luar biasa ini'
'Saya gembira dapat menerima kedatangan Anda di tempat yang luar biasa ini'

Actually for conversation is more complicate due to we must know all about the context, must know relation between them, whether they have been met before (know each other), both gender, both age and must translating in more relax way (according local languange style). 'Anda/Saudara' could alternate 'You' but not too preferably even in formal situation. Two indonesians that have relation (already known each other) will not use 'Anda' to call with each other due to by using 'Anda/Saudara' like making a little distance between them. Indonesians preferably use 'Bapak (Pak)', 'Ibu (Bu)', 'Kakak (Kak, Mas, Mbak, Kakanda (boy friend))', 'Adik (Dik, Adinda (girl friend)) that more friendly.
For better alternative (Assumption; they ever met before)
'Saya gembira dapat menerima Bapak/Ibu/Kakak/Adik di tempat yang luar biasa ini'
'Saya gembira bisa menerima Bapak/Ibu/Kakak/Adik di tempat yang luar biasa ini'
'bisa' is informal for 'dapat' but sometime use in Indonesians conversation
Btw, before I am forget, please always add 'berkata' to find not-direct sentence (conversation) in search engine column. May be you'll find it in Indonesian novel rather than in Indonesian magazine or newspaper

Additional notes
In Conversation or direct sentence (When it being use between Indonesians)
1. 'Kamu'(male or female), 'Adik' (male or female) or name (male or female) : are preferably applied to younger conversation partner, more preferably to substantially younger. Only 'Kamu' could be applied to same age conversation partner. Strong recommended not apply them to your boss even she/he younger than you (politeness reason).
2. 'Kakak'(male or female), 'Abang' (Male), 'Mas'(Male), or 'Mbak' (Female) : are preferably applied to older conversation partner, sometimes you could apply 'Mas' or 'Mbak' to younger ones or your boss.
3. 'Bapak'(male) or 'Ibu' (female) : are preferably applied to substantially older conversation partner, your boss, your co-worker even little younger ones.
4. 'Anda' or 'Saudara' : are preferably applied in printed material, brocure, ads, questionare, etc. Also are preferably apply in seminar, to audience and etc. They could be applied When you angry or in debate someone. But 'Anda' and 'Saudara' are could not applied to children. When they are applied to known Indonesian conversation partner, it's like make joke between them, like Indonesian apply Mr. before name to his Indonesian conversation partner.
5. 'Kakanda', 'Kangmas' (male), Adinda (female): only apply between lover pair, if apply to others you would be considered in seducing him/her.
It's not complete but I hope could help Kakanda/Adinda to judge :)
