We can use the abbreviation but translate anyway. In electronics, we continue to use IC but the long form becomes sirkuit terpadu. See:

Other example is UN organization. The only change we make is PBB. Yet we have Organisasi Pangan dan Pertanian sit together with FAO, and Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia with WHO.
If we don't translate, the world of engineering will be amassed with English. The Indonesian language unites this country; so it is in the best interest of this nation to match any language in the world.
