The Seniors and Pensions Policy Secretariat (SPPS), in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan, has organized information sessions to raise public awareness of the Agreement between Canada and Japan which will enter into force on March 1, 2008. Information sessions will be held in cities with a high density of Japanese immigrants, Japanese business associations and Japanese organizations.
Partnerships and Engagement Division (PED) of SPPS has designed a new initiative for partnership capacity building for the upcoming entry-into-force of the Agreement between Canada and Poland. PED will measure the success of the initiative, and based on the findings and effectiveness of this approach, PED, with the support of International Operations and IPA, will recommend a means for instituting an ongoing program to raise awareness for the implementation of new agreements.
