Sepertinya sih ini seorang penuntut umum yang disiagakan sehari-hari u/ menangani perkara yang perlu perhatian segera, semisal menentukan ada tidaknya tuduhan. Jaksa ini belum tentu ditugaskan u/ menindaklanjuti hingga ke pengadilan, dan sering kali berpangkat rendah/yunior.

Mungkin tidak dikenal di Indonesia, sebab di sini polisi berhak menahan tersangka beberapa hari sekaligus menentukan ada-tidaknya tuduhan (walaupun u/ ke pengadilan, jaksa yang menentukan).
