The noun tuismitheoir is masculine and when used in the possessive case it takes a (séimhiú)so a \"h\" must be added after the first letter of the word.The feminine nouns don\'t take it.ie.

his house = a theach V her house = a teach

neutral  Niamh Piel: Are you sure there is no h in the noun after "mo"? I thought this differentiation only applied to "a" for his or her. For example, "a mháthair" = his mother but " a máthair" = her mother. I don’t think it applies to "mo" or "do".
