English to Irish translations [PRO]

English term or phrase: SQONUT
Dear all,

We would like to know if the term "SQONUT" has any potential offensive meaning in Irish.

One of our customers is launching a new product, a square shaped donut and they are calling it "SQONUT"

Please let me know if term is safe to use in Irish.

Explanation:
I didn't receive notification of this query and I have only just now come across it! The fact that there are no previous responses is an indicative answer in itself perhaps but just to put your mind to rest, as the letter "Q" doesn't occur in the Irish (Gaelic) language I wouldn't worry. As for its implications in English, a Microsoft alleged variety of which is spoken here also, it does have a certain "je ne sais quoi", I suppose, that may suggest somewhat kinky off-piste testicular activities but then that may be my Goon Show upbringing! As your Queen may remark on her forthcoming visit to Ireland, "Honi soit qui mal y pense"!
