IPG applica ai propri editori clienti una "fee" calcolata sulla "fatturazione netta" (net billing) al momento della spedizione del singolo libro dai propri magazzini. Il net billing è l'ammontare fatturato al cliente acquirente, esclusivo del costi di trasporto, meno i crediti derivanti dalle pubblicazioni rese. A seconda dei volumi di vendita dei singoli editori e del numero dei titoli, l' editore cliente riceve in media il 40% del prezzo USA al dettaglio. Mensilmente IPG invia agli editori clienti rapporti dettagliati sulle vendite, le scorte, i resi e i nominativi di tutti gli acquirenti. Sempre mensilmente, l' editore cliente riceve l' estratto conto degli ammontari spettanti a IPG ed il pagamento delle proprie vendite effettuate 90 giorni prima.
