This is just an alternative,as the English term is widely used in Italian.
But I wondered if there was a corresponding term in IT, and it seems that the same idea as conveyed in 'key account sales' is expressed through 'vendite (a) grandi clienti', the obvious meaning being that some clients are 'key' clients in terms of business profits.
So a 'key account sales manager' (if you are interested in the person actually holding the position) would be a "Responsabile vendite grandi clienti".
