Qui si fa riferimento al c.d. "formative judaism", il periodo di formazione dell'ebraismo.
In realtà tale periodo va all'incirca dal 70 d.C. al 470 d.C., quindi in realtà è improprio l'accostamento con la figura di Gesù.
Quindi il termine è usato in modo un po' vago per indicare il periodo di formazione dell'ebraismo in cui i rabbini svolgevano anche altre attività "basse", anziché al solo studio dei testi sacri.
