English term or phrase: panto

Context: A/W 2011 eyewear collections with retro style

I've found above term in the following sentences:

it revives the classic “panto” form with modern materials in a high tech look.

frame forms including “panto” and a short wayfarer look

I've got some doubts about it. I presume it means the italian "forma pantografica" which would mean
something like " di grandi dimensioni " but I'm not sure. How would you render it in Italian?

Is there someone who may give a help? TIA

I'm wondering if I'm on the right line.

Asker: Grazie Matira per la rapidità e l'aiuto che da soli varrebbero un po' di punti ed è anche una opzione alla quale avevo pensato. Purtroppo nel mio contesto non è questa la resa in italiano. Il cliente mi ha suggerito a che cosa si riferisce il testo. Lascio aperta la domanda per altri colleghi ed inserisco una frase in più che aiuta la comprensione del contesto e che non ho avuto tempo di inserire prima (nelle discussion entry). Vediamo se qualcuno riesce a trovare la versione italiana. Non è difficile come pensavo.
