Solito testo divulgativo sull'architettura contemporanea. Ho trovato "acier auto-patinant" e altro, usando il GDT, ma non trovo un termine convincente in italiano: puo' essere "acciaio ossidato"?

PS: sto ancora riflettendo sul "cemento a vista" -- grazie a tutti/e coloro che hanno risposto finora!

è un trattamento che si fa all'acciaio per renderlo resistente agli agenti atmosferici. ce l'ho anche io nelle persiane di casa mia!
comunque ti indico un link sotto dove troverai tanti tipi di acciaio, anche il "weathering steel"

Grazie a te e a tutti i colleghi che hanno contribuito. Si tratta in effetti di acciaio che resiste agli agenti atsmosferici DOPO aver subito un'ossidazione superficiale (patinatura).

Non so come si dice esattamente in italiano ma e motlo importante a capire: This is steel that "weathers," i.e., rusts to a certain degree, thus providing a coating so the steel does not need to be painted. Also, it has an "artistic" appearance. See URL below. The suggestions made don't seem to convey this. "Weathered" can also refer to things or the human face, etc.

Further:Weathering Steel (Type 3) is steel that has had lots of copper, chromium, and nickel added to enable the surface oxide layer to reach a stable thickness under normal atmospheric weathering. Many bridges, for instance, are constructed from weathering steel, and are therefore left uncoated. Bolts in weathering steel bridges are also made from a weathering steel grade.
