Ciao ragazzi, sto traducendo una brochure per un museo e si sta parlando della Cucina di Francoforte. L'espressione mother of come potrebbe essere tradotta secondo voi? Mi da l'impressione che una traduzione letterale sia troppo colloquiale. Cosa ne pensate?

neutral  juliette_K: carino, ma tutt'altro concetto rispetto a quello del testo! Risp.: "per definizione" e "fonte di ispirazione" non sono affatto sinonimi.

  -> capisco il tuo punto di vista, tuttavia è possibile discostarsi da una traduzione immediata del significato di "madre di" e allargare il concetto per considerare la C. di Fr. come fonte di ispirazione delle cucine progettate successivamente
