Art/Literary - Art, Arts & Crafts, Painting / performance art | | English term or phrase: durational | I understand that 'durational' is an adjective formed from the noun duration, but I don't understand if it means 'lasting' or 'continuous'.
The context I've found it in is this:
As a vital member of the generation of pioneering performance artists that includes Bruce Nauman, Vito Acconci, and Chris Burden, Abramovic created some of the most historic early performance pieces and is the only one still making important durational works.
Are these works lasting in time ("durature"?) or is this perhaps a special term connected with performance art?
