Manual Tune displays the current tuning configuration. When you adjust the sliders it tells you what gains you need to update. When servo is on, the left hand area of the dialog box will light up. This gives you real manual tuning capability. When you expand the Current Tuning Configuration, you are reminded of the application type and coupling (loop response effects the system damping) you selected. These values are governing the displayed values.

This is where you can directly enter values for system bandwidth and system damping which effect all of the loop gains. You can also individually modify the gains. The gains and filters that you have tuned using either default factory values or Autotune will be your initial values in the Manual Tune dialog box box. *******Coupling displays how tightly or hot you chose the system to tune.********

A naso, direi che thightly si riferisce alla banda di oscillazione (bandwidth) e si dovrebbe riferire alla precisione del sistema di controllo, hot si potrebbe quindi riferire allo smorzamento (damping) riferendosi quindi alla capacità del sistema di portarsi velocemente nelle condizioni desiderate dopo un graduale smorzamento delle oscillazioni.

E' solo una ipotesi... ho pensato a questo perchè esisteono modi di dire 'to be hot on the trails" o "on the track" quando si sta per raggiungere qualcosa/qualcuno... qualche riferimento su google con significato analogo anche per 'hot on the signal' che si adatta bene a questo caso.
