Grazie a tutti per l'aiuto e mi scuso per aver proposto nuovamente lo stesso termine. Comunque il contesto era un po' diverso e il problema di traduzione rimane. Alla fine ho deciso che utilizzero` una soluzione diversa da quelle proposte che mi sembrava piu` adatta e che era stata suggerita in precedenza: lettera d'intento (anche se ho ancora qualche dubbio essendo questo termine utilizzato per accordi internazionali). Comunque anche le altre risposte fornite erano adeguate. Grazie mille a tutti!!

E' capitato anche a me di trovarlo una volta in un contratto e l'ho lasciato così. Se provi a cercare su Google tra i siti in italiano, vedrai che c'è riscontro. I risultati non sono moltissimi, ma abbastanza da far capire che si usa.
