E' venerdì e siamo tutti stanchi (credo). Per come leggo io la frase, visto che prima di 212k non appare alcun segno di valuta (dollaro, euro, sterlina, ecc.) k dovrebbe riferirsi al _numero_ dei contratti (k=1.000 cioè 212k=212.000 contratti)

Questo sito, forse, dovrebbe contribuire a chiarire la questione (guarda in particolare il grafico):
