Explanation:
"deuterochloric" significa che si usa il deuterio (che è una variante pesante dell'idrogeno) anziché l'idrogeno per formare la molecola di HCl (1 atomo di idrogeno + 1 di cloro).

Allora, se l'HCl normale è l'acido clorIDRICO, l'HCl con il deuterio al posto dell'idrogeno sarà l'acido cloroDEUTERICO.

Ma è solo una supposizione...

neutral  BdiL: Non c'è nulla di errato nel tuo ragionamento! Tra l'altro nessuno dice in italiano acido idroclorico (nonostante l'inglese), perché è la storia della nomenclatura (tradizionale) chimica, ma la standardizzazione (IUPAC) ti rema contro (v. Teresa) Maurizio
