Explanation:
...credo che "clone" si riferisca alla forma imperativa del verbo (infatti il wizard ti permette di clonare qualcosa), mentre "existing" dovrebbe fare riferimento all'oggetto da clonare (file, ecc.), già presente nel programma o nel computer.

...in effetti anch'io sono propenso a non tradurre aggettivi che in italiano risultano ridondanti, ma credo che occorra vedere caso per caso: se il manualefa un distinzione netta tra elementi esistenti e di altro tipo, allora conviene tradurlo.
