Hello please can anyone help me with this translation:
If use-oriented figures are employed (e.g., energy requirements of a computer), clearly report any assumptions about underlying consumption patterns or normalization factors (e.g., 10% less energy use per average working day, assuming operation for 8 hours with changing processor load).
I translated like this: Se si utilizzano dati di consumo energetico dell’utilizzatore finale (p.es consumo energetico di un computer), specificare chiaramente le assunzioni fatte nel calcolare lo schema di consumo/il patterns di consumo o normalizzare il fattore (p. es. riduzione del 10% in consumo energetico per media giornaliera considerando utilizzo per 8 ore con cambio di carico di lavoro del processore.
can you conferm it is correct ? the term "changing processor load" è quello che mi turba!

in parole povere, si tratta della quantita'di energia elettrica che arriva al processore/i del sistema, e' diversa se il computer e' in attivita' o se e' in attesa (stand-by), questo e' esempio, ma vi sono vari altri cambiamenti di carico del/i processore/i durante una elaborazione dati.
Il testo originale infatti parla di "richieste di energia del computer"

volevo chiedere: si tratta di un benchmark test questo testo?
poi userei "utente" al posto di utilizzatore, schema di consumo e' preferibile a il pattern ..., infine "assumendo una operativita' di otto ore con variazioni di carico del processore", mi suona la traduzione migliore, senza "lavoro" perche' dalla frase si capisce che e' energia. Inoltre e' da tenere presente che anche gli AngloAmericani sbagliano a scrivere (sintassi e ortografia) o sono poco chiari nella loro esposizione. A te la scelta e saluti

tradurrei senz'altro con:

nel contesto:...assumendo una operativita' quotidiana media di 8 ore con carico variabile del processore.
