In Internet ho trovato in un paio di siti le seguenti spiegazioni:
"È Internet il veicolo di trasmissione di virus, worm e altri programmi pericolosi, mentre in passato il contagio veniva soprattutto da cd e floppy. In Italia, nel 2002, gli incidenti e gli eventi indesiderati sono stati provocati, nell'ordine, dai seguenti worm identificati con i nomi di: Klez 32%, ecc..."
"Interessante il fatto che gli incidenti sono stati provocati da 52 diversi tipi di virus, ma nella pratica il 90% delle infezioni sono derivate da soltanto 15 tipi di virus diversi."
"Molte organizzazioni impiegano più tempo per gestire hoaxes che per occuparsi di reali incidenti da virus."
