In Gran Bretagna il 6th Form comprende 2 anni di istruzione dopo la scuola di obbligo, e quindi corrisponde al liceo italiano, come spiegato da Kimmy. Il Lower Sixth Form è il primo dei due anni. Il secondo è l'Upper Sixth Form. Spesso vengono chiamati semplicemente Upper e Lower Sixth. Al termine del secondo anno lo studente fa gli esami chiamati "A-levels" che danno l'accesso all'università e quindi sono l'equivalente di una diploma di liceo.

Explanation:
6th Form è (almeno in Australia) l'equivalente alla maturità (liceo) etc.
Immagino che Lower 6th Form potrebbe riferire al livello del 6th Form. Per esempio alla mia scuola c'erano 3 livello di 6th Form (A, B e C).
