Tech/Engineering - Engineering: Industrial | | English term or phrase: fired heater | The stripper bottoms stream is preheated in a fired heater and routed to the product fractionator. This
main fractionator separates out naphtha, kerosene, diesel products and unconverted oil. A large
proportion of the unconverted oil from the bottom of the fractionator is recycled back to the reactors.
The diesel and kerosene are produced from two side strippers off the main fractionator and the
overhead distillate product “whole naphtha” is routed to the naphtha splitter.
A sour “unstabilised light naphtha” stream produced at the top of the Product Stripper is routed to the
Naphtha Stabiliser feed. Any residual H2S is driven over the top of the Naphtha Stabiliser. The
overhead LPG stream is sour and is routed to existing LPG treating in the Crude Unit. The bottom
product is routed to the Naphtha Splitter which produces light and heavy naphtha product streams. |
