Explanation:
si trovino riscontri con check flowrator;
secondo me è un regoilatore di flusso, tanto è vero che si parla di un pistoncino (o ugellino) forato e di un particolare diametro interno.
Penso che il termine sia coniato da "flowrate" o flow rate

For indoor coils with flowrators, the flowrator distributor
assembly consists of flowrator distributor body with
attached copper tubes feeding the coil, a piston with an
internal orifice of a specific ID size, and a hex nut to
attach the piston retainer and liquid line. See Diagram
below.
