Sto traducendo il manuale di un ventilatore industriale e non riesco a capire cosa sono esattamente questi "vanes" in italiano e cosa c'entra la parola "box".

Si tratta di palette (o simili) aerodinamiche curvate all'indietro che si aprono e si chiudono e hanno il compito di regolare il volume di gas in uscita dal ventilatore.

Il testo è in uno strano inglese, penso sia stato scritto in realtà da tedeschi, considerando la sintassi astrusa e alcune espressioni che sembrano veri e propri calchi dal tedesco.

Tornando alla domanda, potrebbero essere "palette all'ingresso dei cassoni (di aspirazione)"?

Spero abbiate più idee di me :(
