In realtà esistono due accezioni equivalenti di questo termine coniato originariamente da Intel: "Copy Exactly" o "Copy Exact". Si tratta di riprodurre un processo di lavorazione sviluppato presso uno stabilimento in un altro stabilimento ubicato altrove. Un tentativo di traduzione l'ho trovato tra parentesi dal redattore di un articolo in cui una parte recitava:
"L'utilizzo di una tecnologia produttiva a 32 nanometri in differenti fabbriche produttive sarà incentrato sul metodo noto come "copy exactly" (ndr copia esatta): in pratica si basa sul concetto di sviluppare un processo produttivo in una delle proprie fabbriche e di trasferirlo ad altre sedi adattandolo ai differenti fattori di produzione tra i quali la qualità dell'aria, la temperatura e le condizioni geologiche."
Ma mi sembra cha abbia assunto un significato un po' più ampio:
"Some manufacturers have referred to such a process control as “Copy Exact” or Copy Exactly”. Mandates on suppliers that provide products either directly or indirectly in an OEM relationship are required to “lock” a configuration for up to five years from "

Tuttavia può darsi che non sia poi necessario tradurre il termine, anzi, io opterei decisamente per questa seconda opzione.
