Questo interuttore è utilizzato per accendere/spegnere i fari (guida) anteriori e posteriori, ed anche per controllare l'illuminazione del monitor.
A mio avviso "controllare" non è sinonimo di "regolare". Controllare può riferirsi alla semplice azione on/off oppure all'affievolire/intensificare la luminosità.
Regolare implica necessariamente anche modulazioni intermedie (cioè l'effetto che si ottiene con un dimmer, per regolare l'intensità luminosa).
Se sei sicura che non sia solo un controllo on/off, usa pure "regolare". Altrimenti mantieniti su "controllare" che si presta bene in entrambi i casi.
