Timing di mercato
È l’abilità nel scegliere i momenti più idonei per effettuare un investimento o un disinvestimento. Questo termine si può riferire a un unico mercato (acquisto di azioni a prezzo basso e vendita a prezzo alto) o a più mercati: in questo caso ci si riferisce alla rotazione nel tempo delle varie opportunità d’investimento, come il passare da un investimento in un fondo comune azionario a uno bilanciato, ecc.

Per "excessive trading" ho trovato solo un hit di "trading eccessivo", che ti copio:
"...mano a mano che aumenta l’esperienza del trader, il suo livello di overconfidence
decresce. Overconfidence, trading eccessivo e brokers on line. ..."

Ecco perchè l'ho lasciato in inglese nella risposta. suppongo si tratti di un altro esempio in cui la locuzione resta in inglese, vedi "insider trading".
