Per quanto riguarda la seconda parte della traduzione anch'io ti consiglierei di non utilizzare il termine fumi che non è adatto in questo contesto. Potresti risolvere in questo modo:
LA FESTA E' PERVASA DAGLI UMORI(ODORI) DEL BANCHETTO
oppure
GLI UMORI (ODORI) DEL BANCHETTO PERVADONO (SI ALZANO DALLA) FESTA

A me sinceramente suona già bene e mantiene forse un tono antico. Forse avrei messo "fumante" perchè forse ricorda di più i vapori e gli aromi del cibo mentre "i fumi" fa pensare più al fumo da combustione.
