Ne viene fuori un "trenino" serpeggiante per questo ho pensato alla soluzione che ti ho proposto.

il termine italiano non rende l'idea (e dà pure adito a malintesi), a mio parere.
direi un (banale) si srotola/serpeggia/si dipana come un grosso bruco/serpente/grosso serpente sinuoso/serpeggia/si srotola sinuoso/si snoda serpeggiando, ecc.
